House of mirrors in the Desert
House of mirrors in the Desert
Artist Phillip K. Smith III created Lucid Stead in Joshua Tree, California
The installation composed of mirrored planks and LED lights mounted on a 70-year-old timber shack
By day, the cabin appeared partially transparent thanks to mirrors reflecting
The humble hut sits on five acres of sand dotted with shrubs
At night, the cabin's windows and doors lit up with LED lights controlled by a computer that gradually changed hue
Illuminated Hut
To make things more colorful
Smith grew up near Joshua Tree and believes that the desert is part of his artistic identity
The change of the hues is so gradual that it is hard to pinpoint the exact moment when colors turn.
The ethereal installation opened October 12

Guys Makes Lamborghini Aventador For Just 500 Dollars
Taras Lesko from Seattle has built a mind-blowing replica of the Lamborghini Aventador solely out of printing paper and cardboard. He made Lamborghini Aventador sports car from paper and cardboard which looks amazingly real. He first designed all its parts on computer softwares such as Abode Photoshop, Illustrator and AfterEffects, printed them on several paper sheets and then used an X-Acto knife to cut those parts accurately. Next he wanted his vehicle to roam around easily. To achieve this, he used chipboard to make its frame. The vehicle weighs just 11.3 kilograms.

It's also furnished with a spacious 10-seater dinner table and has a spiral staircase running through the core of the building
The design comes with a built-in garage, fold out balcony and even a recording studio
Other than a transparent glass facade on one of its four sides, the house also has smaller openings cut into it for windows and balconies
Diagrams of the layout of the pyramid house showing how all the areas would fit in to such a confined space
